Our Rating:
The most shocking thing about Cuntroaches is not the bands name, although that was obviously chosen to shock, but the fact that this trio are two women and one man, I would have assumed any band called Cuntroaches would be 4 spotty blokes. They come from Berlin with the intent to decimate with horrific noise barrages of cacophony, apparently they have bra's that spew beer on audiences live.

Cuntroaches are Martina, Claire and David who recorded the album in Berlin before Daniel Husayn mixed and mastered it at the North London Bomb Factory on the Marylebone Road.

The album eases into the diseased minds of Cuntroaches on the slow ponderous Borborygmus that takes more than a minute to really start to let rip with distressed distorted vocals, bowel shaking screeds of noise, with lyrics about who knows what, as I certainly can't decipher them, screaming howls of pain crucified by noise.

III has a pounding techno beat destined to fill dancefloors, if only the guitars weren't howling in pain and distress as the vocals garble into oblivion, sirens making her pain all the clearer.

Gordian Knot has super seedy blast beat drumming, chaotic guitars and screamo nasty as hell vocals re-arranging your brain.

Erbium:YAG has space invader noises amplified to infinity, raging noises and runs of notes descending into hell, before 20 seconds of sub-woofer hum.

Gravity System uses the Warhorn that Martina built out of Septic Tank pipes on the relatively quiet intro, as that horn calls us into the maelstrom once more getting filthier as they go.

I Can (Still) Tell You're (Scum) has the easiest to understand vocals, as they make clear exactly what they think of you, if you don't donate to the bands Only Fans page.

Red Velvet Rose is as close as they get to sounding romantic, if your idea of romantic is swimming in a cesspool rolling in filth and inhaling as much ordure as you can over the cataclysmic hailstorm of noise.

The album concludes with Inside Me that sounds like they have an overactive tapeworm trying to eat its way out of there stomachs as the churning griefscape sucks spits and drowns in its own bile.
