With the early incarnations of the band dealing in purely instrumental music, it is no surprise that the vocal led material present on their latest EP brings with it a rich and intricate pallete of instruments. Extended intros and expansive riffs give way to delicate and moving lyrics in a melee of syllables and sounds.
"Rushes", Talk In Colour's upcoming EP (due out on Night Cabin Records on 8th July), comes from the name given to the first print of an unedited film reel and reflects the bands shift towards releasing smaller volumes of work but more frequently.
Describing their sound as Cinematic Future Pop, the band has been curating a residency incorporating live scores for some of the brightest up and coming directors on the indie film scene, including Romola Garai, J Blakeson and Carrie Cracknell. The latest video for Candles, a re-score in itself, highlights their affinity with music and the moving image.
