Cult alt-indie-rock Londoners Tellison this week unveiled brand new single "Snow (Don't Tell The Truth This Christmas)", available now exclusively from the group's bandcamp as a pay-what-you-want download. Just like their 2011 Christmas single "(Good Luck It's Christmas)", all profits go to the charity The Campaign Against Living Miserably.
Inspired in equal parts by Dave Bazan, The Weakerthans and East 17's "Stay Another Day" (ahem), Tellison's front man and guitarist SH Davidson wrote "Snow (Don't Tell The Truth This Christmas)" on Christmas Day afternoon 2012 while waiting for his Turkey to cook. By that point he realised it was probably too late to get a Christmas single out so "Snow..." has been gently mulling for eleven months in Tellison's practice space in an East London basement.
