Again proving that York is home to far more than acoustic blues and indie buskers, York-based alt-electronic two-piece Haxby Swango have returned with a new video for ‘The Telephone’. The track is taken from the band’s debut EP, ‘The Lately Low’ (mastered by Howie Weinberg [Nirvana, Beastie Boys]), released at the end of last year via Anonymous Records.

Haxby Swango are planning a series of releases (two of which are eclectic collaborations with acclaimed UK hip-hop artist, Shotty Horroh) towards the end of the year, again working with Anonymous Records. Label co-founder Dom Smith comments: “Swango are really pushing the boat out for Northern electronic music, they’re good lads with a solid work ethic, and delightfully weird musical vibes, which you know…I really dig.”
