Mi Mye have announced they will be releasing a Christmas single on Leeds/Wakefield DIY labels Hide & Seek Records and Philophobia on the 16th of December.
Mi Mye began as the solo moniker of songwriter Jamie Lockhart and became a larger project when Jamie moved from the Highlands of Scotland where he grew up, to Wakefield, his now adopted city. They released their fourth album this year, the acclaimed ’Sympathy Sigh’. Principally they’re a band that make beautiful, clever and sincere music.
Jamie also runs Greenmount studio in Leeds, and regularly works with / has worked with bands like The Cribs, Pulled Apart By Horses, Post War Glamour Girls, I Like Trains and many others including The Vaccines & iForward Russia!

They’re also going to be hosting a single launch at the Brudenell Social Club on the 18th of December, this will be an afternoon of Christmas Pies from the Brudenell’s new Pie Minister kitchen and Christmas films before the music starts late afternoon and finishes at 8PM so everyone can get home and avoid the a miserable Sunday night in December…
