Brothers Vinny and Joe Ferris from Willsborough, New York proudly display their Irish roots by playing Celtic influenced folk.
For the ten originals on their debut album they share vocals and play guitars, mandolin, banjo and harmonica. Guest musicians add percussion, fiddle, accordion and claps.
The music is bright, breezy and banal. "Do what you like and smile while you do is the simplistic recipe for A Happy Life and lyrically it doesn't get any more complicated than this.
The siblings roundly endorse a carefree life of roving troubadours yet the nostalgia for a Girlfriend From High School ("I want you back baby") is a measure of how emotionally shallow their perspective is.
