The ‘ambient indie rockers’ tag sounds like an oxymoron to me, but ‘Crystals’, which finds herMajesty’s mellow, dreamy synth-led sound augmented by the psychedelic guitar work of Jody Porter from Fountains of Wayne. It’s a delicate and cerebral affair, a hazy wash of sound that’s atmospheric and evocative, with some wistful vocals adding to the overall effect. Nice.
