Review: 'Horse Party'
'Out of Sight / Receiver'

-  Label: 'R*E*P*E*A*T Records/Pure Deadly'
-  Genre: 'Rock' -  Release Date: '23rd February 2015'

Our Rating:
Following on from their debut album, released last year, Horse Party they seem to be really hitting their stride with this limited edition 7” release. ‘Out of Sight’ sees Horse Party continue to deliver the kind of classic rock with a contemporary slant that’s defined their sound to date, and it’s a proper rock tune with a grungy twang and a stack of attitude.

Flipside ‘Receiver’ is a solid, uptempo number with chugging guitar and insistent drumming. Seymor’s lead vocals contrast with Ellie’s, and while less gutsy, work well with their clean tone that somehow combines urgency and nonchalance. It also bursts a blistering break that sees the band really cut loose. It’s a release that kicks some ass, and indicates Horse Party going from strength to strength.
