Review: 'Equipo'
'Simulaciones'

-  Album: 'Simulaciones' -  Label: 'Clang'
-  Genre: 'Dance' -  Release Date: '2nd March 2015'-  Catalogue No: 'Clang 024'

Our Rating:
Information about Equipo is sparse, although it’s the musical outlet of a guy called Juan Cristóbal Saavedra, who draws on a combination of house, techno, electronica, dub, minimal and IDM in the formulation of his work.

‘Equipo’ contains nine tracks, and the album’s sound is defined by sturdy electro beats, coupled with some insistent basslines, which build some solid grooves. Layered on top are broad, soft, sweeping synths. Space-age Krautrock with a chilled edge balances stealth with danceability, and it’s intelligently done.
