Review: 'Jordan, Ben'
'Dream Invisible'

-  Album: 'Dream Invisible' -  Label: 'IRS Records'
-  Genre: 'Alt/Country' -  Release Date: '25th May 2015'

Our Rating:
Jordan’s brand of easy-going Americana has a strongly ‘classic’ feel to it. Born out of a difficult period, when the travelling troubadour found himself stranded in the UK without funds or gigs, he dragged himself up to produce an album that’s confident and remarkably philosophical.

There’s a plaintive tone to his voice, which is appropriate for his songs of yearning and longing and being apart… but there’s also frustration and fire, with the uptempo ‘Gravel & Gold’ stomping along with real gusto. Jordan has a knack for simple narratives and painting credible scenes, little vignettes that are slices of life.
