Born in Miami, raised in Buenos Aires but now based in New York, Alejandro Meola's five songs on this EP document what he calls the "inner revolution" of his cultural and geographical shift.
After 7 years making music in Argentina and achieving a moderate level of success, he now has a 'rock'n'roll band' and tunes that are as diverse as the city he has now adopted as his home. He is particularly keen to stress the distance between his sound and Salsa music!
Consequently you get a little reggae (Shed Some Love) plus a power ballad (On Scorpions & Pride) alongside up tempo, but bland, blues-driven pop.

The Tom Petty-ish Gypsy Woman (She Told Me) is the most strident and catchiest piece and thus is probably destined to be his calling card.
The changing tempos reflect an artist in transition rather than one who has found his true voice.
