Review: 'Brothers Rasputin'
'Get Over It (EP)'

-  Genre: 'Indie' -  Release Date: '28th August 2015'

Our Rating:
I’m not down with the kids these days, and have no interest in fashion or image whatsoever. To my eyes, these guys look like a bunch of ultra-hipsters. But what do they sound like?

‘Get Over it’ explores a laid-back, soulful progressive-funk sound, a wandering bass groove strolls around a nagging guitar line while smooth vocals chill it to the max. ‘In Your Body’ is even more laid back, soulful, a smoochy vibe doodles around a way-cool Hammond organ. It’s music you feel in your pants.

‘Eyes Won’t Leave You’ marks a distinct change of tack, and is a gorgeous dreamy sliver of shoegazing indie crossed with classic 60s pop. It’s nothing short of breathtaking. Most importantly, it shows that Brothers Rasputin aren’t locked into any one genre and simply have a major talent for penning some cracking tunes.
