Review: 'DOG CHOCOLATE'
'Snack Fans'

-  Label: 'Upset The Rhythm'
-  Genre: 'Punk/New Wave' -  Release Date: '18th March 2016'

Our Rating:
This debut release contains fourteen Scooby snack sized song bites binged down in under half an hour.

The quartet of Londoners are like hyperactive school kids making the most of a short lunch break. They are punk pranksters tearing through the tunes at breakneck place as though imitating the manic energy of Captain Beefheart's The Blimp.

Pieces like Wish For A Cat and Wat Bandana seem to play for laughs but the splendidly titled Everyday's The End Of The World For Someone ("I have a hard time thinking about death") suggests they also have something serious to say. If so, any coded messages get lost in all the mayhem.

Spirited and entertaining as it is, I have to say the overall effect is more exhausting than exhilarating.
