Our Rating:
This is the very first time I have reviewed anything from a 10" single. Yes, I own quite a few but no one's sent me one to review before so full marks to the marketing department at Shelflife records for that.

This 10" Single is the follow up to the excellent debut album Switch Me On from last year. The vinyl is a couple of shades lighter than Electric Blue and is quite striking. The EP opens with All The Time, a good burst of upbeat jangle pop that puts me in mind of Hagar The Womb meets Blood & Roses but without the anarcho politics and with the split female male vocals adding some edge to it.

The Ghost Of You Brings in a Vaselines meets Marine Girls element full of longing and sweet harmonics that are further reminiscent of Postcard Records.

The flipside opens with Bury Me: a full-on jangle pop epic full of yearning and covered in layers of effects to make a cool Lush meets Talulah Gosh-style sound.

Go So Slow has a delicious Feedback strewn intro that makes it more Jesus and Mary Chain than Vaselines for quite a downbeat heartbreaker of a song about wanting an ex to go away. By the time it bursts into life I was wondering how long the feedback was going to sustain and if the ex has got the message yet. If they haven't, the violin then kicks in to drill the point home and finish off this very cool 10" Single.
