Review: 'Hoult'
'Pharmacy'

-  Label: 'Phwoar and Peace'
-  Genre: 'Indie' -  Release Date: '6th October 2017'

Our Rating:
Hoult’s debut single is one of those rare beasts that’s dreamy and drifting and also driving and propulsive. With touchstones including Bombay Bicycle club and Frightened Rabbit, Hoult announce their arrival in style with ‘Pharmacy’. Fractal guitar chimes shimmer before the insistent percussion, and both Doves and The Smiths come to mind in the swirling echo-soaked mix.

Lyrically, it’s kitchen-sink relatable, but musically, it’s got a soaring aspect that’s positively transportative, and pretty damn nifty.
