This one came out in June but seeing as it belongs to lost legend Ian Lowery backed by a stellar band I thought it was worthy of a mention.
The album itself is something of a lost classic and has been remastered and reissued by the Beggars Banquet Arkive. Ian never pulled his punches. He was interested in the dark side of human nature and life and he had the lyrical nouse to back it up. Tales of death, sickness and the seedy underbelly were his stock in trade.
There is an American widescreen feel to the work but shot through with a healthy dose of British realism. Perhaps a British Jeffrey Lee Pierce (The Gun Club) might be an apt description? "Killer in the Rain" is the real dirt about the Green River Killer. Nasty stuff. "Howl Upside Down" is stolen from a Jim Thompson novel about a hitman and "The Real Dirt" is a statement of intent, "I feel the heat inside me, just about to blow. Overwound, understand, I think you'd better go".

The extra tracks would fit into place dropped anywhere on the album, including the long drag of "Bagman" and they provide further proof, if any were needed, of the enduring talent of Ian Lowery and the talented wingmen that made up King Blank.
