Review: 'Between the Lines'
'To the Wind'

-  Genre: 'Rock' -  Release Date: '6th July 2018'

Our Rating:
Dredging through my amassed pile of CDs I’ve been sent for review but haven’t played, I realise it’s been a while since I’ve checked out any pop-punk action. So what’s new and hot on the scene of bands taking cues from Neck Deep and Four Year Strong now? Having listened to the debut from this quintet (they’re calling it an EP, but with 2 tracks with a combined running time of 7 minutes, it’s a single and B-side), I’m not really any the wiser.

The mastering’s a bit variable, the vocals are uncomfortably prominent, especially on ‘Anywhere But Here’. Credit where it’s due, it’s a spirited effort and they do have some neat melodies, but as with pretty much every other release in the genre, it feels like it’s locked in 2004.
