I’m confused. The link to download the EP delivers a file entitled ‘CodePie’, and perhaps because the band is called Made-Up and there’s no info whatsoever, I suddenly leap to ‘Geek Pie’ and the world of Nathan Barley. The 4 tracks in said file bear different titles from those on the 6 on the bandcamp page, and it appears to be some kind f admin error, because a spot of research reveals that Code Pie are a Montrea-based indie-rock band.
Still, there’s no ambiguity in the fact Made-Up’s lead track is ‘Bump Bump Bump Bump,’ a soft-focus wash of dreamy psychedelia that trips and bounces along. It’s pleasant, if rather unengaging, and if it’s representative, then it’s hard to see that they’ll make many waves.
