Intriguing release this one, out on Lo who recently celebrated 20yrs in the biz which is no mean feat.
This release has been realised in association with Strange Attractor Press and the intention is to explore ambient music through writing, still and moving image and through live events and the plan is for a series of releases. It will be good to see how all this comes together.
This is a carefully curated and thought provoking collection of music by artists who define ambience both in their approach to art and their output. It would seem a little crude to break this down track by track. One should simply immerse oneself in an hour and twenty minutes of wonderful music that will take you on a journey through ambient, encompassing new age, deep listening and on to post classical.

Artists include Jon Tye (Lo founder) and Ulrich Schnauss, Carlos Nino and lasos, Matthew David, Cathy Lucas and MJ Lallo and many others. I caught up on some much needed sleep whilst reviewing this album so job done. A superlative effort indeed.
