Review: 'ARREST! CHARLIE TIPPER'
'Themes From Blizzard'

-  Label: 'Raving Pop Blast'
-  Genre: 'Indie' -  Release Date: '3rd February 2019'-  Catalogue No: 'Rave 20195'

Our Rating:
This Bristol band have produced an ambitious soundtrack for an imaginary movie set in a motel during a blizzard which they imagine being directed either by David Lynch or Quentin Tarantino. They can dream!

An enigmatic Lynchian quality gives the impression that they already see themselves headlining at the Bang Bang Bar in Twin Peaks.

Trombones, cello and cornet combine with twangy guitars and quirky snippets of dialogues to create a dozen tunes with just the right snowbound atmosphere.

Some titles even appear to be drawn from fully formed script outlines e.g. If He's Alive I'll Find Him / I Knew Something Like This Would Happen.

Who cares that this particular movie will never be made. The record is full of enjoyable high concept Indie pop for cool cinephiles who should have enough imagination to know how the scenes play out.
