Review: 'PINHEADS, THE'
'Is This Real?'

-  Label: 'Stolen Body'
-  Genre: 'Rock' -  Release Date: '3rd May 2019'

Our Rating:
The Pinheads are six piece garage rockers from Australia and this is album number two.

I can here a few things in the mix sound and influence wise including VU, The Replacements, The Datsuns and even early Oasis. The album bristles with energy and attitude but certainly has the ramshackle vibe of Paul Westerberg's crew.

There are plenty of riffs and hooks to catch hold of such as on "For A While", the snotty nosed "No Time", the Oasis-esque "So Alone" and the lolloping "Don't Have A Home". All in all it's a sterling effort which might have had more impact by dropping a couple of tracks but this is a minor point. They tear it up live apparently and are playing three UK dates in early June so catch them while you can.
