Review: 'Saharas'
'Feel Better'

-  Label: 'It’s All Indie'
-  Genre: 'Indie' -  Release Date: '27th September 2019'

Our Rating:
Mood is everything. Try as you might, you can’t snap out of it, you can’t change it, you can’t switch up and you can’t connect. Even in my best moods, I’d find the buoyant, bland, Animal Collective smoothness of this effort irritatingly mediocre.

I’m struggling to find a mood above self-loathing. That’s life, and nothing to do with this four-piece who have an obvious knack for anthemic indie. But this is fortunate for this buoyantly accessible act who’ve no doubt got academy-capacity appeal. Because feeling this down, ‘Feel Better’ actually feels like a musical prescription. It should make me want to do
do damage, but instead…

It may be insipid, bland-as-fuck, mellow-as-you like, super-produced, soft as-turd melodic, muso, by-numbers aural chewing gum, but ultimately it has its place. That place, oddly, is in the middle of my flipping out about life. And it does make me feel better. Maybe it’ll help you, too.
