Colossal fretwanking solos and excessive displays of technical ability: in abundance. To the extent that it’s painful and kills the momentum and the enjoyment. Yep.
Moments where the guitar licks go symphonic and sound like Brian May: Yes – but why? Really, why? Why This is not cool. Never was, never will be.
Metal EP marred to the point of loathing it on account of indulgence and cliché? Yes. Hell, I lasted three tracks.
