6th Crowd is the latest project by Ukrainian musician and singer Dari Maksymova who you may know from On The Wane and if not this is her latest electro dancefloor based project and the two single tracks that have come out ahead of her album Avoid the Devoid features one song with a Russian title and one with an English one although they are both sung in Russian.
Samozvantsiy the Russian tune is cool sparse electronica with a good beat, is it about making Tea in a samovar, not sure but it could be about drinking tea in a cafe on the Kreshtatik, that I'm sure is a very different experience these days to when I did just that back in 1985. Vocally she sounds like a slightly less goth Linda (the Greco Russian singer). It also reminds me a bit of Finitribe.

The Day Is Over starts with an almost heartbeat pulse before it starts to test your stereo as the sounds pan and dart over the place as things get hot and sticky on the dancefloor while sounding a bit like a mutant remix of Depeche modes Enjoy The Silence. The mix isn't too busy and you'll easily groove along to it.
