Review: 'Our Propaganda'
'Essential Love'

-  Label: 'I-Tunes/Amazon Music'
-  Genre: 'Rock' -  Release Date: '8.12.21.'

Our Rating:

Our Propaganda are a British Alt Rock quartet from the south coast, the single was produced by Steve Lyon.

The first of the three tracks I was sent as a single from the band's debut album is Essential Love that's a good building anthemic rock song with vocals that are a bit like Gary Stringer from Reef only not quite as deep, this has a good guitar solo that only emphasizes the lyrical content as he tells her just how Essential his Love is for her.

Essential Love the JBW1 Mix has the sort of snappy mix title that makes it sound like a flash car and yes you could easily hear this blasting out of a car stereo as he tries to convince her that he really does want her. This mix has some different things going on with the guitars in places and the backing vocals are more upfront.

The third track is earlier single Fast Food At Midnight which is something we have all craved at one time or other, this has a searing guitar part that is always going to explode at some point as they slowly tell us exactly what sort has led them to want to have Fast Food At Midnight, although they don't say if it's Fish and Chips or a Kebab, either way this has enough swagger to make sure that the prospect of going to the chippy with this lot is a good one.
