Review: 'Radford, Owen'
'In The Snow'

-  Label: 'Robo Jack Records/Bandcamp'
-  Genre: 'Indie' -  Release Date: '26.5.22.'

Our Rating:
In The Snow is the new single by Owen Radford This is the lead single from a new Robo Jack Records compilation Coffee Shop Jams that will be out later in the year.

It's June so I must review an Anti-Christmas song, In The Snow is just that song, it's a fragile mainly acoustic lo-fi song that feels a little bit Daniel Johnston as Owen hopes he can start all over again and everything might be ok if he waits In The Snow long enough.

The Second Version adds vocals by Jebb and doesn't sound too much different although the backing vocals are a lot more prominent and the instrumental bits towards the end are more out there than the first version with the piano and guitar dueling a bit.

Concrete Zoo at the start almost sounds like they are busking besides some awful Concrete enclosure, this is a piano led song of despair at what's been going on and Owen wonders how the scum always rises to the top.

In The Snow (Demo) feels like it's being played on an upright piano in a school hall or possibly someone front room as Owen claims it's ok to have visionless friends and the piano sounds good as they try to not get to upset by the oncoming Christmas season.
