The fourth studio album from this Brighton based singer-songwriter is a subtle mix of contemporary and traditional influences.
Brown’s studiously understated vocals establish an easy-going, mellow mood. This enables her to cheerfully overcome depressive thoughts in Black Dog,the first single, and to coo romantically on a song like Waltz With You.
Brown’s slick backing band produce arrangements that seamlessly blend quiet folk and smooth jazz. This is best exemplified in two atmospheric instrumentals Les Ondes Du Monde and Juno Largo.
The musicians also show off their talents in the dreamy epic All Around the World that glides along in an unhurried manner for almost seven minutes.

Co-writer and producer Bernd Rest plays acoustic, electric and lap steel guitars; he also sings lead vocals on Like a River Flows.
The overall effect is undoubtedly accomplished yet unobtrusive to the point of being mildly soporific.
