-  Genre: 'Punk/New Wave' -  Release Date: '13.1.23.'

Our Rating:
The second of our visits to this year's resolution Festival at The 100 club is for the Friday the 13th special with the Anti Nowhere League.

First on are Borrowed Time the Yoga punk band from Gloucestershire featuring former members of Noise Agents, Demob, Chinese Burn and LD50 among others. They opened with Paranoia that so got to the bands singer Rob Fletcher that he had to take his shoes and socks off in case the voices in his shoes got to him, He threw his socks into the audience and was surprised that they were thrown back at him rather than kept as treasured Punk rock souvenirs, he also revealed his day glow green toenails.

Under The Radar was super bouncy, rather crisp. They then claimed there are no Bridges In this town, well London has hundreds of them, so not sure how small a town you need to be from for it to be bridgeless, as they throw some Yoga poses while playing, was one a Yoga bridge not certain but it might have been.

They were soon stranded unable to get out of the Lotus position, as the arthritis had kicked in, but they were super speedy tight and great fun. Rob dedicated Chains to his wife who apparently likes to tie him up in super uncomfortable Pilates positions, as explained in the lyrics that are spat out in a six of the best style.

Oceans is how far apart certain people's views and lifestyles are from the bands, They then did a new song about Suicide that has some pertinent lyrics that need to be heard a few times to totally get the message of hope amongst all the despair that might have pushed you to kill yourself.

They had had enough of dealing with all the crap on Keep Your Distance, hopefully the target of this song has terrible taste in music, so wouldn't be seen dead in a punk club. They then played the bands theme song Living On Borrowed Time that gives the bands core message loud and clear go and live your life and have fun doing it, your not around for long so party and have a good time while you're here.

They closed with a song about being Insecure and needing a safety net that we all need every once in a while, A good message wrapped in a speedy punk tune that got everyone going nicely.

Second on were Knock Off who I last saw at Rebellion last summer, this was a similar set of Oi Punk from this trio, that opened with One Life that continued tonight's main message, go out and enjoy your life One two Three four go on have a good time.

They then tried to cancel all the moaners and doubters on Are You Offended well if so, good, go on and leave us all in peace, this was great fun and got quite a pit going. Working Class Boy was classic street punk rallying cry to all of us who go out and earn a crust to get by.

Take His Eyes has a good aggro punk edge to it, they then play the bands big anthem for all the terrace Boot boys who live the football Beer & Punk Rock lifestyle as most of the 100 Club sang along to the chorus.

I think they played 1918 next although I put it down as Tear it down this is the bands anti war anthem for all the damaged men who returned home from war and of course all those who paid the ultimate price in that epically pointless war.

Fingers To The Bone was frantically barked at us like they were doing another 15 hour shift. They left us in no doubt what they are about on This Is Who We Are, before once again they had to admit that I Fucked it Up, not sure about that song title mind. They then closed with a super speedy run through Jack The Ripper that had a suitably deranged mosh pit.

After a suitably dramatic wait it was time for the current line-up of Tunbridge Wells finest The Anti-Nowhere League to stomp onstage and rampage through a classic set, from the opening chants of Can't Stand Rock & Roll Animal was on top form as usual. Get Ready had the mosh pit going mad as everyone chanted along with them.

Skull & Bones had some good poses from Animal as Sam Carnage drove thing as along. Of Course Animal told us he likes people like us before they launched into the classic I Hate People. They keep the bands outlaw image front and centre on Let's Break The Law especially all the stupid drug laws as they want to have a damn good time.

Branded has a good go at corporate culture and all the idiots who want to fit in and follow the latest trends. They then went all 50's pop for a great blast through Runaway. Not sure is there was a single person in the 100 club not singing along to So What So What So Fucking What the bands credo for living your life just how you want to, go take all the drugs and have all the fun you can.

Animal made sure we knew that the Snowman was all about his favorite powdered fuel. We all knew and understood that Woman is a song in celebration of Women and not denigrating them.

Everyone went nuts as they gave us a few sing along chorus’ of London Bridge Is Falling Down as they led into Streets Of London the bands classic cover of Ralph McTell's sadly timeless classic, why do we still have a homeless problem.

I think it was Barnesy who took lead vocals on a short blast through As Good As it gets as an Intro For You and Animal made it clear exactly who it was For. It was then time to take some more Medication, go on hoover it all up as this lot really are The Last Cowboys they will keep on till the end.

Animal then paid tribute to Thursday nights headliner Uncle Charlie Harper of The UK Subs, a loving tribute to a true living legend with loads of Subs song titles in the lyrics. We Will Not Remember You is the clarion call of a real coke head right.

They finished with the double shot singalong too God Bless Alcohol and the bands' theme We Are The League and they had played right up to closing time so no encores.
