Paris label– clothes and records – promoted as elite cool – an alluring style challenge.
Electronica/electro/pop
Dance music with indie style and some substance (some - not loads).
Neat songs with crotch stirring rhythms and the spice of implausible retro noises. Guitars, even. Too much artihmetic and not enough intuition in the beats. Maybe.
The anonymity of some oft the artists teeters drunkenly against the secret knowledge that they’re all well known t their devotees.
Standing out: THE WHIP “Trash”
Nice to see playing away from home: DEAD DISCO with a remix of “The Treatment”
FOX N WOLF’s “Youth Alcoholic”: a low point piss taking cliché regeneration - a problem also for the VAN SHEE remix of KLAXONS’ “Gravity’s Rainbow”.
OK, FOX N WOLF’s double vocal yelled chorus is a gem in need of rescue form a dire mix.
THE GOSSIP? Just GOSSIP flavoured - not the full gooseberry. Some very silly octave-leap bass from 80s band practice. Ugh.
You like it all? Fair enough.

It’s a compilation album. If it connects, go for it. There’s plenty on the web to sample. Brussels can do cool. Paris thinks a lot.
It goes:

The Lovely Feathers - Frantic
The Whip - Trash
Fox N Wolf - Youth Alcoholic
Klaxons - Gravity's Rainbow (Van She remix)
Freeform Five - Home Wit U
Boys Noize - Feel Good (TV=Off)
The Gossip - Standing in the Way of Control (Soulwax Nite Version)
Alex Gopher - Motorcycle Wet (Clutch Short edit)
The World Domination Vs Adam Sky - Galactic Lover
Dead Disco - The Treatment (Metronony remix)
The Valentinos - Kafka (Bag Raiders What Y'all Kno 'Bout Seven remix)
Oh No! Oh My! - I Love You All The Time

Please, any info on Kitsune you have, and a copy of this CD I'd be dead grateful for, as I'm writing a feature about them, and they're just too chic
Crazed spearhead clash b/w Simian Mobile and t'other 'uns. Is it like ambient house, goatees/cardigans. ? I think not hee hee
