An official UK release of Wolf & Cub’s 2006 album “Vessels” is due in April. In preparation 4AD are promoting "This Mess" as a single in a variety of formats and mixes.
By gum, it does blast along. Even the main cut has a lashing of new rave drumbeat (albeit huge and driving). But the-rip roaring guitars and howled vocals are what lifts it way way above the crowds. In a gloomy place, “This Mess” is a World War II searchlight. Among a struggling army of rock n’ roll’s walking wounded, Wolf & Cub have secret stashes of grenades and kit bags full of salt beef.

If this sort of rush is what I was after (And who says I’m not?), I would bother with absolutely nothing less.
