Marko Lukac (http://www.markolukac.com) likes to describe himself as New Age or contemporary classical. However, while those categories are definitely valid in some of the music that he produces, it also doesn't paint an accurate picture. There's more to Lukac than those aforementioned genres.
In terms of arrangements, yes, one can see the influence of classical music in how Lukac structures his compositions; nevertheless, there's a pop element as well. On the title track Lukac shuffles a techno backbeat with elegant keyboards and ethereal female vocals. The result is a spine-tingling mix of world, electronica, and Europop. It has an uplifting, dreamy effect on the listener that you don't want to shake off. "Fate" has a slower tempo but it achieves the similar results. This time, though, Lukac eases on the techno buttons and instead utilizes calming New Age soundscapes as a pillow for the Peter Gabriel-ish soulfulness of the vocals. Majestic and beautiful work.

Lukac is full of suprises here. The rock-oriented "Peace Be Upon You" could've been a song from any of today's trendy indie-pop acts, only it's far better. But Lukac is at his best when he's trying to seduce the listeners as on the lush tropical vibe of "Water Reflection."
