Major forthcoming events at CJs Music Bar, Kirkstall, Leeds.
Having re-opened just last autumn CJs Music Bar, located at the Kirkstall Lites Pub, Kirkstall Lane has already gained a massive reputation for thequality of live music presented every Friday evening. Promoters KMM insistthat only the very best unsigned talent takes the stage at CJS and the venue has deservedly gained the respect of artists and audiences alike.
Immediately prior to a short summer break KMM are bringing back to CJs a number of the most popular artists to appear this year, including several bands that jumped at the chance of returning.
On Friday 30th July CJs will say welcome back to local favourites ABNegative who will be supported by high profile rockers This Etal and husky Seven Hours. The evening will be heavy on guitar driven rock and promises a combination of punk metal blues with a touch of real class. A typical CJs evening in fact.
The following weekend CJs bring back six bands that have previously wreaked havoc at this musical oasis.
On Friday 6th August CJs sees the return of Horsforth Rudecore in the formof Grand Moff Tarkin, TMF and Slideout. For the uninitiated, Horsforth Rudecore is a totally unique brand of impolite rock written and performed by the wildest musos ever to leave the leafy suburb of Horsforth. A combination of punk with pretty flowers and funny buckets makes this a line up not to be missed at any cost. They have already outraged, amused and entertained much of Leeds with lyrics not for the squeamish. CJ audiences absolutely love 'em. Hence the return of GMT, for the third time this year. Horsforth has never been so wild.
