Yeti Lane are 'First Rate Pretenders'

After the acclaim heaped on their self-titled debut album – named Rough Trade Shops' album of the week, no less – Parisian psych-pop trio Yeti Lane release their new single, 'First-Rate Pretender', via Sonic Cathedral Recordings on February 22.

'First-Rate Pretender' is the opening track of the album and one of its many highlights, coming across like a psychedelicised Pavement or a more saturnine Shins. On the single it is backed with a remix by Scottish experimentalists North Atlantic Oscillation, who reimagine the song as an icy electronic beatscape, like Boards Of Canada gone pop.
