Review: 'Corrupt Moral Altar'
'Whiskey Sierra'

-  Label: 'Dead Chemists'
-  Genre: 'Thrash Metal' -  Release Date: '8th June 2013'

Our Rating:
The press release got me with the phrase ‘pummelling grindcore/sludge,’ and the Liverpudlian foursome certainly pack some gruelling guitar noise onto this four-track 7” EP. The lead track, ‘Whiskey Sierra’ is murky, abrasive, messy and full-on, and they’re only just getting going. ‘Lord’ brings excess all areas with booming bass and paintstripper scream vocals. A barrage of percussion and a squall of noise spits home the relentless vitriol on the doom thrash of ‘Politics Is A Bargain Between Beggars’, and it’s closed off with the baleful, ball-busting ‘You Don't Have To Go To Clown College’, which is neither comical or easy on the ear. In fact, it’s 2:44 of the most savagely aggressive din you’re likely to her all year. And coming from me, that’s saying something.
