The obvious retort in response to the song’s title may be God-awful, but it would be untrue. What Blasko gives us is a beautifully poised, string-soaked song brimming with emotional sincerity, penned, we’re told "an immediate and unfiltered result of an evening spent in the company of emotional opportunists." With ‘God-Fearing’, Blasko achieves the rare balance of being gentle on the ear and hard on the heart.
