Review: 'Pteroglyph'
'The Great Unseen'

-  Genre: 'Heavy Metal' -  Release Date: '26th August 2013'

Our Rating:
The three tracks on this EP – ‘The Great Unseen Parts 1-3’ have been mastered as one continuous track with a running time of thirteen and a half minutes. This has the effect of creating a single epic piece with seamless transitions between its movements. It begins hurtling out of the speakers at 100 miles per hour, a barrage of driving industrial metal reminiscent of Strapping Young Lad. The quieter passages are textured and atmospheric, although megalithic power chords soon devastate the tranquillity. It’s epic, immense, and supremely heavy, but also dense and compelling.
