Our Rating:
This CD does exactly what it says on the cover! Yes! Review over.

Well not quite, but it could be because from the opening blast of Beyond The Barricades to the closing howl of A Sheep In Wolf's Clothing this album just rages away with heavy brutal riffs and angry as all hell vocals.

So what are Circle of Rage raging against exactly? As not all the vocals are clear as they are too busy screaming and howling with rage, I'm gonna guess Tommo the vocalist is just raging at everything he can in this awful world of ours. The guitarist Veitch is raging that he couldn't play at least one tune in B-flat as he really thinks rage sounds better in B-flat to D- Minor.

Xander over on the drums is raging against being asked to wear brown nail varnish rather than black to match the album cover and Scott (also on Guitar) is raging against the dying of the light and coming over all wistful before raging at the rest of the band for taking the piss out of him. While, finally, Lee on bass is raging against trolls and computer games.

But really, they are raging against the surveillance state and all the other evil going down in a righteous and ragingly metal kind of way.

If you like heavy, hard and angry metal then this album delivers and doesn't outstay its welcome as 25 minutes is more than enough rage to take in one go. And now the review really is over.
