Jakob Lindhagen's self released Transcendence was recorded in Brighton, England under the anonymous moniker "...".
Four years on he is still reluctant to use his own name and as 'Other People' his pieces are even more minimalist.
Transcendence featured piano, guitar and synthesizer and now he plays only a grand piano. There are brief hints of other instrumentation but only the cello on PS, played by Agnes Magnussson, makes any significant impression.
Some tracks seem like fragments of ideas, but others like the title tune or Fumbling In The Dark are fully formed and thus more satisfying.
The main body of work was written and recorded in Sydney, Australia but was finished off in Sweden, his home country.

The slow, sad tunes are perhaps a reflection of isolation he felt after relocating to a new and unfamiliar country although there's no hint of despondency in the song titles.
Rather, titles like ID,Ego and Super Ego suggest they were composed as affirmations of selfhood and as such these lilting melodies are more meditative than melancholy.
