Review: 'Aspirin'
'Aspirin'

-  Album: 'Aspirin' -  Label: 'Metonic Records'
-  Genre: 'Indie' -  Catalogue No: 'MET-00015'

Our Rating:
This is some weird shit. Even if the words weren’t in French, the manic delivery and far-out discordant cacophony of instruments and voices would still mean it was weird shit. The stop-start jazzy hip-hop on acid that is ‘Felix Hoffman’ is disorientating, and ultimately collapses into chaos.

Ok, so it’s not really shit, but it is weird. It’s everything at once, bouncing between styles and all played in the wonkiest way, clattering toy drums and twanging elastic band guitars. Whacky and way out, it’s so far off the wall it’s out of the house. It’s fun and freaky, and I dig, but Aspirin is perhaps just too bizarre to recommend unreservedly.
