Review: 'CALIFORNIA FEETWARMERS, THE'
'The California Feetwarmers'

-  Label: 'Self Released'
-  Genre: 'Blues' -  Release Date: '1st September 2013'

Our Rating:
Evoking the street partying spirit of New Orleans from the 1920s & 30s, The California Feetwarmers specialise in ragtime, Dixieland blues and traditional jazz.

Titles like Jazz Me Blues, A Banjo Vamp and Tiger Rag give you an idea of what to expect.

It's unashamedly nostalgic, revelling in music of a time gone by which still has many fans today. Among them is Keb' Mo' who booked the eight-piece band to guest on a track on his latest album, BluesAmericana.

This foot stomping, Lawdy Mama social music is designed to help festivities go with a swing. On record, and a long way from Louisiana, it sounds a bit flat.
