Review: 'Bell Gardens'
'Slow Dawns For Lost Conclusions'

-  Album: 'Slow Dawns For Lost Conclusions' -  Label: 'Rocket Girl'
-  Genre: 'Alt/Country' -  Release Date: '28th October 2014'

Our Rating:
It’s worth noting the pedigree of the leading contributors to Bell Gardens: Kenneth James Gibson, formerly of Furry Things and Brian McBride, one half of Stars of the Lid, augmented by a cast of many bring pedal steel, piano, strings and brass to the duo’s ambient drone and minimal techno leanings to conjure delicate and subtly understated slowcore symphonies.

The tracks are mellow, almost sedated, dreamy and very much geared toward the slower end of the tempo spectrum. When it comes to shoegaze country, ‘Slow Dawns’ is as good an album as you’ll find.
