Review: 'herMAJESTY'
'Days Turn to Nights'

-  Label: 'Bittersweet Records'
-  Genre: 'Punk/New Wave' -  Release Date: '4th February 2015'

Our Rating:
The lyrics may be dark, but it’s all delivered in a gorgeous swirl of echo-soaked wistful melancholy that packs manifold layers of depth and emotional evocation.

I’ll admit I’ve not really been an avid follower of herMAJESTY, and while last summer’s dreamy and vaguely Interpol-like ‘Crystals’ (which seemingly reappears as the B-side here) was good, it wasn’t a standout.

‘Days Turn to Nights’ isn’t one of those songs that leap out and grab your attention, and instead it nags away in such a way that transcends simple understatement. Lusciously arranged and magnificently layered, it’ll take you by stealth.
