This 'deluxe' double album features 35 remastered tracks of French producer Jean-Marc Cerrone. Who? you may ask if, like me, you're no dancing fool.
Cerrone enjoys legendary status in some quarters as "a trained drummer and disco phenomenon" who rose to fame in California riding on the back of the disco boom of the late 70s and early 80s.
He claims to the first to put the kick in the kick-drum to elevate the thunping beat to the foreground of numerous Eurodance hits. This is not something to boast about in my book.
He is the man behind 70s hits such as Supernature and Love In C Minor.
Allison Goldfrapp named her 2005 album after the former while the latter features orgasmic moans reminiscent of Donna Summer's Love To Love You Baby, "Don't stop!" the woman begs as the track fades out.
Alongside more than 20 tracks of Cerrone's very own, the album also features his productions for the likes of Don Ray, Kongas, Brigade Mondaine and Cristal.

Motown hits like Standing In The Shadows of Love and Baby Love are ruthlessly discofried and Revalacion inflict a monstrous version of The House Of The Rising Sun on unsuspecting listeners .
True fans may lament the fact that the bulk of the tracks are presented in edited versions, with only one track (the tribal drum beats of 1982) exceeding the five minute mark.
Despite this, the album still has the potential to inflict permanent brain damage.
It had me crying for mercy well before the mammoth playing time of two hours and 20 minutes was up.
A cold shower and a blast of Public Image Ltd's 'Death Disco' restored my deadened senses.
