The Loved Drones hail from Liege in Belgium and this is being released on the same label as the recently positively reviewed album by Steeple Remove.
It has a Krautrock flavour to it as well, with elements of heavy rock and some sitar thrown in for good measure. Opener 'Nomad' drones for eight minutes plus. It is a fairly ominous track including some sci-fi downtime but it could also be sound tracking some incredibly naff 80's, Saturday evening action entertainment series. Not necessarily a bad thing?
'Escape from the Terror Drone' comes over all Silver Machine and is a likeable track. 'Crimson Skies' starts out spaghetti western and then turns into a sitar fest. This is more of an ambient mood piece. 'Pulse Radar Love' is a motorik style track and then that crazy sitar again which I have to say is detracting from this track somewhat. 'Electric Blue Moon' is more keyboard focused and if anything reminds me of Jean Michel Jarre. It is a bit of an odd man out but I like it.

The final track is 'Canyons' which has a distinct 70's rock flavour, think Deep Purple and that might give you some idea? I did really want to like this album and at times I have but overall I would have to say that it doesn't quite deliver and I am at a bit of a loss as to why. I am not sure the sitar really helps and the tracks as a whole never quite kick on to another level.
