This release emerges from a collaboration between Nicolai Kornerup and Hannah Schneider, which was recorded in a suburb basement in Copenhagen during a summer that never really started. ’Sommer’ is a magnificently chilled, hazy, minimalist pop song. It’s dreamy and wistful, but not without substance. It’s pleasant, yes, but it’s not just mere fluff.
