Review: 'IMMANUEL, DANA & THE STOLEN BAND'
'Come With Me'

-  Label: 'Self Released'
-  Genre: 'Alt/Country' -  Release Date: '5th August 2016'

Our Rating:
Despite her classically training at Oxford where she studied Latin, Greek and Philosophy, Dana Immanuel chooses distinctly more colourful language to express her feelings in the track Motherfucking Whore.

She applies her higher education to songs of low living via banjo-toting, whiskey-drinking, Americana that comes all the way from North London.

Together with her four girl Stolen Band on guitar, cello, washboard, harmonies, occasional dancing and "badassery" she brings a busker swagger and a raunchy wit to the party.

The strong US influences are plain from titles like Nashvilleand John Wayne as well as from her sassy cover of Viva Las Vegas.

More boozy than bluesy, this is devil may care music with attitude .
