Review: 'Matinée feat. Pier Ferrantini'
'Satellite'

-  Label: 'Neon Tetra Records'
-  Genre: 'Rock' -  Release Date: '22nd October 2016'

Our Rating:
I’m a sucker for tom-heavy drumming, and matinee’s latest offering – which features Pierluigi Ferantini of Velvet on guest vocals – has a thumping beat. It’s a great dark-tinged post-punk pop song with a surging chorus and sturdy four-four bassline, and the fact it’s strongly reminiscent of The Psychedelic Furs only goes in its favour.

B-side ‘Empty’ is also strong, but presents a more contemplative side of the band. It’s a good show all round.
