Review: 'QUINN, GARY'
'I Remember EP'

-  Label: 'Self Released'
-  Genre: 'Alt/Country' -  Release Date: '2nd September 2016'

Our Rating:
Northern Ireland's Gary Quinn is a bland country music singer with a roving eye.

He gushes about finding love at first sight in the college canteen (First Glance) and gives every indication that he is singing of the love of his life.

But then we find him drooling over the way a woman moves and bites her lip (Body Language) and it's doubtful that the object of his desire is the selfsame canteen girl!

Thereupon he's torn by guilt after being unable to resist another fatal attraction in Shame.

In The Best Man Won is a tale of one that got away as he gracefully concedes that another suitor is better qualified than he.

The 'I remember' of the title comes in Each Night You Lie which relates to a long gone lover who he still dreams about. Whoever this ex is I reckon she made a lucky escape.

Quinn may croon smoothly in a romantic fashion but this EP is so like a sex addict's musical diary that you are left wondering what love's got to do with it.
