Review: '4FT PIMP'
'Head on Demand'

-  Album: 'Head on Demand' -  Label: 'own band demo'
-  Genre: 'Rock'

Our Rating:
4ft pimps sound is clearly influenced by classic rock and a hint of eighties metal. Which you can defiantly pick up from the songs on this demo. Metal music before it hit the likes of korn the new style shouty shouty style bar chords. The demo has amazing solos in almost all the songs which you don’t get so much nowadays in the newer “rock” bands. They are certainly a style of their own.

The main influences you can pick up upon are Metallica and Deep purple which is never a bad thing! The highlight songs for guitar solos on this cd are defiantly “Human Sacrifice” and “Cabin Fever”. If you love your widdly widdly you’ll love this!

4ftpimp do not take themselves seriously, it’s easy to see that with “Lost cat blues” a tribute to a missing cat and the bonus track “Cheese Song”. All joking aside these 5 talented lads from Essex are clearly working hard to get out of the Essex stereotype and going back to their roots is a good way of going about it.

I must say my favourite tune on this song is the Amazing Epic song “Roll with the thunder” it starts off with slow vocals and guitar then shoots into an amazing musical bliss to the ears! All the instruments are wonderfully executed, the piano and guitar sound amazing together along with the band singing in unison for a powerful chorus. At the end I can only describe the sound as orgasmic to my ears a beautiful harmony similar to something you’d hear at 5am in a monastery. It has everything you’d want in a song and more!

This is a fun CD to listen to and I can tell these talented boys are going to make it big. The song diversity spans over so many different influences that I’m sure there will be something on here to your liking! They are almost a genre to there own so that people of all musical tastes can listen to them with ease!
