Review: 'Emergency Please, The'
'Remember You (EP)'

-  Genre: 'Rock' -  Release Date: '10th November 2017'

Our Rating:
How does one intone an ‘emergency’ please? Is it hurried, added swiftly and in panic so as not to appear rude? Personally, I can’t think of an instance where the addition of an adverb would be an appropriate response to an emergency situation. Is anyone bothered about pleasantries in a true emergency situation? ‘This guy’s unconscious! Emergency! Ambulance! …please.’

Perhaps there’s a missing comma, although requesting an emergency seems unlikely. ‘Emergency, please.’ Even if it’s an option for a department on a multi-choice phone menu… why? Why the lack of punctuation? Why make it the name of your band? Why make your band sound like something’s urgent when it’s not reflected in the mediocre music you make?

Contemplating the band’s name proved more diverting than the songs on this EP. They promise something that sits between Smashing Pumpkins and Fallout Boy. They deliver limp, lightly funky indie rock. Remember them? Unlikely.
